For the Democratic Primary Campaign of 2021, the following committees are authorized to use the name and images of Janice Duarte:
(1) Friends of Janice Duarte, 60 West Broad Street, Mount Vernon, NY 10552
(2) Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee, 1 Park Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY 10550:
- aka Mount Vernon City Committee
- aka Mount Vernon Democratic Party
For clarity’s sake, my running mates are Darren Morton, Andre Wallace and Lauren Carter. Together, we are the endorsed candidates of the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee.
Campaign materials that contain Janice Duarte’s name and image that are not issued by “Friends of Janice Duarte” or the “Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee” are likely an example of unfair campaign practices. Unfair campaign practices contradict the values of Janice Duarte’s campaign for City Council of Mount Vernon. Please read our website.
More specifically, an unauthorized mailer was recently circulated and was not sent out by Friends of Janice Duarte or the Mount Vernon Democratic City Committee. This unauthorized use of Janice Duarte’s name and image is not taken lightly and will be reported to the Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee.
