MOUNT VERNON — Today at a conference in front of Mount Vernon City Hall dozens showed up to listen to their potential city government.

Candidates helped endorse Democratic Westchester County Executive Candidate George Latimer, who is running against incumbent Republican Rob Astorino.

“He is one of us. We can count on him and know he has our back. The challenges we are facing here in Mount Vernon, we know we can count on him as a cooperating partner. That’s a huge thing for us in these times,” says Democratic nominee for Mount Vernon City Council Janice Duarte.

Nov. 7 Mount Vernon residents will take to the polls to cast their vote.
